Kathmandu, Jestha 23

On the occasion of World Environment Day, Ncell and Nepal Youth Council have collaborated to plant 7700 trees across all 77 districts of the seven provinces. The “One Youth, One Plant” (#OneYouthOnePlant) campaign, a joint initiative of Ncell and Nepal Youth Council, will conduct nationwide tree plantation on on Ashar 14th, National Tree Plantation Day 2081.

In accordance with the agreement made by Ncell with the Nepal Youth Council as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), 100 youths from each district will plant one sapling in the One Youth One Plant campaign and this campaign will be done in joint collaboration with the provincial and local governments. Each youth who participates in the tree plantation will have the responsibility to care for the tree they plant. Ncell and the Youth Council believe that this national-level program, with such responsibility, will ensure the success of the campaign.

Under their social initiatives, Ncell has been collaborating in various areas such as the environment, health, education, and youth talent development.

“Today, on the occasion of World Environment Day, we are delighted to announce this exemplary initiative to plant trees across 77 districts in collaboration with the Nepal Youth Council. We are extremely pleased to initiate this effort, which will not only reach rural areas but also receive participation from the general public, thereby garnering its recognition. We are happy to collaborate with the council to work together on this initiative,” said Vishakha Laxmi Khadka, Head of Corporate Affairs and CSR at Ncell.
