Nepal Youth Council (NYC) is more than just an organization — it’s a movement, a vision, and a commitment led by the youth, for the youth. What began as an informal initiative in 2010, and officially registered in 2012, has grown into one of Nepal’s most impactful youth-led, non-governmental, non-profit, and volunteer-driven organizations.

For over 13 years, NYC has empowered young people across all 77 districts of Nepal by building their leadership skills, cultivating entrepreneurial spirit, and aligning their efforts with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through skill-based training, personality development, and confidence-building programs, we are equipping youth with the tools to become self-reliant, responsible, and impactful citizens.

Our six thematic focus areas — Youth for SDGs, Youth Entrepreneurship, Gender Equality & Social Inclusion, Youth & ICT, Youth for Elections, and Youth for Environment — reflect our belief that young people are the real agents of change. Whether it’s driving social justice, advocating for digital innovation, or responding to crises like the devastating 2015 earthquake, Nepal’s youth have continually stepped up — and NYC has stood proudly beside them.

We are humbled by the trust and enthusiasm of thousands of young people who’ve walked this journey with us — especially through our landmark events such as the National Youth Conferences, Asian Youth Summit, SDGs Festival, and the Provincial Youth Conference 2024, which alone engaged over 2,000 youth across the country.
