The Nepal Youth Council (NYC), established in 2013 by a group of passionate youth changemakers, has grown into a leading force for youth empowerment, human rights activism, climate action, and social transformation in Nepal. NYC is also bridging gaps in youth entrepreneurship by providing education, resources, and networking opportunities to emerging entrepreneurs, addressing challenges such as inadequate entrepreneurial education and financing constraints.
Promoting Gender Equality and Social Inclusion
NYC is dedicated to promoting gender equality and social inclusion. Through initiatives aligned with SDG 5, NYC ensures equal participation from marginalized communities and prioritizes the involvement of women and other underrepresented groups in its events and programs.
Advancing Environmental Sustainability
Environmental challenges such as pollution, climate change, and biodiversity loss are central to NYC’s agenda. The OneYouthOnePlant (OYOP) Campaign, held from June 28 to July 5, 2024, is a testament to NYC’s commitment to environmental stewardship. This nationwide initiative engaged thousands of youths in sapling plantations across public spaces, significantly contributing to climate action and community involvement.
Provincial Youth Conferences
